Sicao Village: A 2-day Mountain Climbing Adventure

Image
It takes a Million steps, hunger, devastation and downfalls for us to realize the essence of appreciating the beauty of nature, regardless of how far it is to reach the highest part of the Archipelago, what matters is that, what does it brings to everyone. I am absolutely proud not just because I reached this newly recognized Ancestral Domain in the Phils., but because of the fact that I was one of the hundreds of mountaineers who acknowledged the presence of Tribes in this area as a community who also brought simple activities, funds and feeding of children. I honestly know my abilities to climb mountains and cross over rivers and forests, and when I was being invited by my cousins to join the mountain climbing activity, I was feeling so excited, and honestly? I was actually sick a night before the event, but my urgency pushed me to beyond my limits, the fever never hindered me to still join with them, as I thought that I can only take a medicine to let my body back t...

The Branded People on Starbucks - Be Generous!

Image
So, I and my friends went to this coffee shop where everyone knows how does it gives spectacular perceptions. Honestly, it was my first time of having my coffee experience in the coffee shop,  I got a piece of money to buy and treated my friends for that particular day. HILAS ko ato na time. lols We first tried to visit one of their branches located in SM Lanang Premiere, Davao City. We looked for a vacant seat but unfortunately, there was no available. I noticed that most of the seats were occupied by just single people, I was confused if it was really the idea that even if you're alone, you can use the bigger space of seat. I just thought so... I also noticed that most of the customers were young adults, using their phones and laptops, waiting for nothing (I think so), relaxing, so to speak. But I did not really care about them, it was just so sad that were not able to get a seat to start our coffee talk with my co-workers. I was actually planning to have an experience ov...

Proud of Being Poor?

"I am proud of being poor!" - we always hear this statement, implying that one is not ashamed of being poor. This statement contains a strong message that may determine the value of being a proud individual who experiences poverty and the lack of material things that are supposedly available and visible inside a house - it delivers the message to never be ashamed of who you are and what you only have, instead be proud because you are alive and enjoying the gift of life. Powerful! But, let me give my views on this. If we are to reconsider our previous life, back when the time that everything seemed to be perfect for our wants and needs, back when the days we were thinking about those things that we had were enough for our physiological needs, we were contented.  Furthermore, as time goes, as our age is numbered, the level of our needs and wants increase. We may still be earning the same amount of sources and income but we will look for something that is new, s...

Kahit san magpunta,...

So, it's Kadayawan sa Davao, 2018. Of course, part of me being a "Dabawenyo", don't wanna miss out the wonderful kadayawan experience.  I just started enjoying the experience on a Friday night with Bamboo in Kadayawan Square. The next day was 'supposedly' a live serenade experience from ABS-CBN's Tawag ng Tanghalan Artists in Almendras Gym. Someone gave me VIP Tickets for two. When inside, the host set an expectation that the artists were coming. Everyone was excited. However, later on the show, after making us all wait for the said artists, the host announced that the artists cannot celebrate with us due to one circumstance - super DELAYED FLIGHT. The host said that he received a confirmation from Star Magic that they will cancel the appointment and just postpone it to some other day. Everyone was VERY disappointed. Got out from the venue immediately while the host was on stage asking for our understanding. Until the venue became empty from crowds ...

I am a Christian. What's the difference between me and you?

I am a Christian, basically we are (all) Christians as we are sons of God. But what's the difference between me and you? I'll start with the other one... Him, as a Christian, is someone who has Godly friends - boring people, boring activities like discussing about God, life, reading the Bible, sharing one another's story. Him, as a Christian is now someone who is not a party goer, never a drunkard of alcoholoc drinks, never chases men and women, always so serious about the job he does, never knows how to laugh out with funny jokes around him. He never plays with love stories, he is a worshipper of God, he comes to Church every Sunday or once a week, he joins to a life group, he has boring friends as well, he seldom sings songs from popular artists in the world, he defines GOODNESS as the essence of True Love, he shares God with other, he shares his life before and after he knew of Jesus, he has great stories about Jesus. He is a boring person... a boring person to be wi...

The Promise Comes by Faith

Today, I am going to share the words that God has been spoken towards me. Specifically about the promise that He prepared, not just for me , but for everyone whose faith is unbreakable. The Commandment of God In Romans 6:13, it says there, "do not offer the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and offer the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness..." As human as we are, according to the Book of Romans, Chapter 6, our body is weak and is prone to sin at any situation, we should be aware of that, we have to take note and put it in our minds that sin should not be our master. One thing that we can do is to avoid ourselves to those things, places, or even people that will lead us to sin and become slaves to sin. The Bible clearly says, "when we try to do good, evil is right there with is" (Romans 7:21). That's why we should always be ...
